Back at CES in January, Samsung announced that the Galaxy Note 10.1 would be coming to Verizon and be available on their LTE network. Now we finally have a release date. It’ll be available on store shelves on March 7th for about $600. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 also has some nice specs including:
- 10.1-inch 1280×800 resolution display
- 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor
- Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean
- 2GB of RAM
- 16/32/64GB of internal storage; Expandable via MicroSD card slot
- 5MP rear-facing camera; 1.9MP front-facing camera
- S Pen and features; Multi-window as well
- 7000mAh battery
As you can see the Verizon version isn’t much different from the Wifi version except for the LTE radio and of course the huge 4G LTE logo on the back. You knew Verizon was going to do this, since they put their logo on the home button of the Galaxy Note 2 when it hit big red’s network last November. You may remember the pictures that were taken at CES in January of the Verizon Galaxy Note 10.1, that 4G LTE logo is really big. Maybe so everyone knows you’ve got a 4G LTE tablet? Who knows what Verizon’s thinking behind this is. But I’m sure they’ll put their logo on the home button of the Galaxy Note 8.0 when that comes out later this year.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 will be in Verizon stores on Thursday for whopping $600. But that is with no contract, so you are not tied in for 2-years, which is a great thing. So how many of you are going to go out and pick up the Galaxy Note 10.1 from Verizon on Thursday? It’s a great tablet, especially if you love the S Pen. It includes all the S Pen features you know and love on the Galaxy Note 2, including Multi-window. So let us know in the comments below if you’re going to grab the Galaxy Note 10.1 from Verizon this week.
