Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about T-Mobile’s new plans and how they are the “UNcarrier” now, etc. So that got quite a few of our Google+ and Twitter followers thinking about switching over to T-Mobile. After Tuesday’s announcement, are you thinking about jumping ship to team magenta?
We’ve already broken down their new plans as much as we could. We’ve torn them apart and we’ve done a nice comparison between T-Mobile, AT&T, Sprint and Verizon for both Individual and Family Plans. The other factor besides price, for switching to T-Mobile, would be coverage. Now I know T-Mobile doesn’t have the best coverage. But I do know they are working on it. I switched to T-Mobile from Sprint back in mid-November when the Nexus 4 was released. I got crappy service then. My signal would drop, I’d consistently be switching from HSPA+ to 3G to EDGE. But now about 4 months later, I’m getting consistently 3-4 bars of HSPA+ signal. Which is a pretty big improvement in that short of time. So if you haven’t checked out T-Mobile in the past year or so, I’d suggest trying out their $30 plan to see if their coverage is good enough. Since you won’t be tied to a contract you can easily cancel.
So what are you going to do? Are you planning on switching over to T-Mobile soon? We’ve got a poll down below where you can let us know what carrier you’re currently using (if it’s not listed, just select other). You can also let your thoughts be known about T-Mobile’s changes in the comments below. We love to read your comments.
