Thanks to our friends over at Sam Mobile, we’ve got plenty of screenshots to share with you today from the Galaxy S4. They got their hands on the Exynos 5 Octa version of the Galaxy S4 and have posted screenshots from all kinds of screens on the device. Including Home/Menu, Gallery, Camera, Settings, Easy Mode, and even some Benchmarks. You know we’ve gotta save the best for last right?
Home/Menu
The Galaxy S4 still has Touchwiz, which we all know and hate. Samsung built on the Nature inspired UX for Touchwiz they introduced last year on the Galaxy S3 and added a lot of new widgets. Sam Mobile says “the TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 is more of an evolution than a revolution.” We’ve got plenty of screenshots to show you down below.
Gallery
Sam Mobile has said that they were a little disappointed in the Gallery’s interface as it did lack functionality compared to the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 with older versions of Touchwiz and Android. There are no real options to change the preview styles, to Tizen Gallery styles like there is on the Galaxy S3 and Note 2. The feature they really liked was the “content to display” which allows you to add and remove content from displaying in the gallery from sources like Dropbox, Facebook, Google+, etc.
Camera
The Camera’s interface received a nice overhaul as well. Samsung brought a lot of features from the Galaxy Camera, which we reviewed earlier this year. The Galaxy S4 also brought a bunch of new features like dual camera, sound & shot, drama shot and story album. Check them out in the gallery below.
Settings
If you thought the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 had a bunch of settings, the Galaxy S4 has a million of them. But it’s set up a bit differently in the Galaxy S4. There are 4 tabs which breaks down the categories and makes it a bit easier to handle.
Easy Mode
Easy mode is that mode that Samsung wants first-time smartphone owners to use. It basically walks you through how to customize your device. It first made an appearance in Android 4.1 on the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2.
Benchmarks
Now the best part. Benchmarks. Sam Mobile tested their Exynos 5 Octa version on AnTuTu benchmark and it scored over 27k. As you can see in the screenshots below, it blows away the competition, as expected.
