Things aren’t looking to good for Apple. That warrants a laugh from Android fans, right? Today, Reutersis reporting that Apple’s suppliers have begun referring to the Cupertino company as “Poison Apple” due to their “hard-to-meet high standards and low price expectations.” Suppliers that wish to remain unnamed, have spoken with Reuters and basically informed them that they are weary of Apple’s “ever-moving deadlines” and went on to say that they are now trying to “reduce their reliance on the company.”
We’ve seen reports that several of Apple’s key products are facing delays because they are said to be difficult to produce, so it shouldn’t be a surprise at all that their suppliers have taken hits to their earnings over the past quarter or so due to the iPhone not being demanded as much as in quarters past.
Apple is going to be reporting their Q1 earnings tomorrow afternoon. While we’d expect Apple to have “record-breaking” numbers, we don’t expect the numbers to be all that good. I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I’m out and about I used to see nothing but iPhones. Now I can barely find one person with an iPhone. Just about everyone has one of Samsung’s hundreds of Galaxy phones.
Some of Apple’s major suppliers in Japan and Taiwan stated that they expected mass-production of the next generation iPhone to begin in June, as it has for the past 2 years for the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 (or iPhone 4SS). Sources are saying that the mass-production date has begun to slip past June. So all the Apple fans out there may not get to see a new iPhone this year. Which means Android fans won’t be able to make fun of them as much. Now that really sucks. Maybe they’ll add another half an inch to the top of the iPhone for the iPhone 5S?
So is it about time for Apple to put a fork in their products and move on to something else? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
