Chrome Beta Gets Updated to version 27

Today, Chrome Beta for Android got updated and brings along fullscreen mode, better search and tab history. So you’ll want to run over to the brand new Google Play Store and grab the update.

WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, and Public Mobile Withdraw from CWTA

Today, we learned that three Canadian carriers have withdrawn from CWTA (Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association). Here’s why they withdrew:

“When we were first approached by the CWTA, we were promised clear and fair representation on issues of true industry alignment,” said Simon Lockie, Chief Regulatory Officer for WIND Mobile. “But despite making our objections and concerns abundantly clear on numerous occasions, the CWTA has repeatedly failed to honour this promise, leaving us no alternative but to withdraw.”

Cinemagram Launches on Android

Cinemagram seems to be following Instagrams footsteps from about a year ago when they launched on Android. Cinemagram is like Vine, but now on Android. While we’re still waiting on Vine. You can grab it in the Play Store now.

Inverted Black Version of Google Play Now Available

For those that love the inverted black version of apps, the new Google Play Store app is now available in the inverted black. And it does look pretty nice. But I’d still rather use the original Play Store apk.

Instructions:

– Download the zip (click here)
– Boot into recovery and flash the zip (named BlackMarket4.0.25.zip)
– Reboot and enjoy!

Facebook Home-themed Lockscreen now available

While we are all patiently awaiting Facebook Home to launch on Friday, you can enjoy a Facebook Home themed lock screen now. You can grab Homebase from the Play Store now and check it out.

HTC Source Code for the One and Droid DNA Released

Today, HTC released the source code for the HTC One and Droid DNA. Which is a good thing, and something we don’t always see from HTC. Now we should start to see some better ROMs for both devices.
