Featured Review: Jaybird BlueBuds X – Bluetooth Earbuds

Today, we are taking a look at the BlueBuds X earbuds from JayBird. These are Bluetooth earbuds that work great. Jaybird has a patented secure fit with these earbuds. After using them pretty much all week long, I must say that I agree with them. These have not fallen out of my ear at all. There are three controls on the earbuds. Volume rocker plus your power or answer/end call button. Using the volume buttons you can skip tracks go to your previous track and of course raise and lower the volume as you’d expect.

The BlueBuds X do remember 8 different devices, so you won’t need to pair them as much to other devices. I was able to test them on 3 different devices (Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Galaxy Note 10.1) and the BlueBuds X remembered them all without me having to pair them with the device again. As far as Bluetooth headsets or earbuds go, these are probably the best ones on the market. But as far as earbuds go in general, they are among the top. Of course, that’s all up to personal opinion. Comparing them to my Bose MIE2 earbuds, I prefer the sounds quality coming from those than the ones from the BlueBuds X. Not to say these produce horrible sound, it’s just not the best, in my opinion at least.

The battery lasts for at least 8 hours. The company boasts 8 hours of music & calls with these, but I’m pretty sure I got more than 8 hours on a charge from these. The tricky part is learning how to charge them. As the microUSB port is kind of hidden. You have to flip off the cap of the earbud on the side with the controls, there you will see your port to charge your earbuds. They charge rather quickly, or maybe I’m just used to how long my phones and tablets take to charge.

Overall, I would highly recommend these Bluetooth earbuds for anyone in the market for a new pair. They are around $169 from JayBird, which you can check out their website for more information. There are also 3 different tips to go on he earbuds, so make sure you take the time and use the ones that feel the most comfortable.  Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
