It’s that time of year! Time to get excited for new Nexus devices, a new version of Android, possibly new Chromebooks, and plenty more. For any Google fan, Google I/O is like Christmas. Google has just released the schedule for Google I/O sessions coming up in about 2 weeks and it appears that their first keynote, which is the most important one, is 3 hours long on May 15th.
All the fun starts at 12pm EST on May 15th and will last until about 3pm EST, in which case other sessions will be beginning and the rest of Google I/O will be getting underway. Three hours is a fairly long keynote. So hopefully we see some nice goodies. We’re already expecting to see a new Nexus 7, possibly the X Phone from Motorola but pretty unlikely. Either Android 4.3 or 5.0, some Chrome OS news and possibly new Chromebooks, along with a 32GB LTE Nexus 4, and probably some more news on Google Glass.
For those developers lucky enough to be heading out to Moscone West in a couple of weeks. Google has posted the entire session list so you can plan your 3 days in San Francisco. There are six main tracks which are
- Android
- Chrome & Apps
- Google+
- Google Cloud Platform
- Google Maps
- YouTube
Those six tracks make up about 150 total sessions. That’s a lot of learning, right? You’ll notice that Google Glass is absent there.
