While it might have been a long time coming – especially since HTC announced the phone in February – the One is now available to buy from all of the big carriers. Aside from Verizon of course. AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint are all carrying the HTC One for similar prices and in the case of Sprint, new customers are welcomed by a fairly tasty deal. Of course, which carrier you go with might come down to a little more than just pricing, depending on your coverage, your chosen poison could be very different. Thankfully though, the specs of the One are the same on all three carriers, and for those that have forgotten let’s go over them again:
- 4.7-inch 1080p display giving it a 468ppi
- 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor
- 2GB of RAM
- 32/64GB internal storage; No microSD card slot
- Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS and GLONASS
- 2,300mAh battery
- Android 4.1.2
- Sense 5.0
- IR Reciever allowing you to use the HTC One as a TV remote
AT&T
Ma Bell have the One in Silver only right now, there’s no Black option listed on their site. Which is a little disappointing but, it’s better than nothing, right? Pricing varies depending on whether or not you want to buy the device outright, get it with 32GB of storage, or the exclusive 64GB option. For those looking at the 32GB option, it’ll be $199.99 on a 2-year contract, and $599.99 ouright. For AT&T’s exclusive 64GB option, you’re looking at $299.99 on a 2-year contract and $649.99 outright. Somehow, the inflated contract price doesn’t work out for the extra storage but, if you want that sort of space, you’re gonna have to pony up. More info here.
T-Mobile
Just like AT&T, T-Mobile are only carrying the Silver version of the One. This being T-Mobile, the UNCarrier, there are naturally some changes to how you’d buy the device from the other carriers. You can either buy it outright for $579.99 or you can pay a $99.99 down payment, and then $20 a month, separate from your plan. To sweeten the deal, T-Mo are throwing in a free Car Dock, which is nice of them, right? More info here.
Sprint
Sprint seem to be the only carrier that are listing the Black version of the One but, of course, it’s listed as “coming soon”. Aside from that, things are much the same for Sprint, you can pay $199.99 on a 2-year plan or outright for $549.99. Where things are a little different however, is if you bring your number to Sprint, you can pick up the One for just $99.99. Whether or not it’s worth doing depends on how good Sprint is in your area as well as the fact you’ll be stuck with Sprint for a long time. More info here.
