Every week we go over 5 great apps or games that you may not have heard of before. These are all apps that some of our team members have used before, so they aren’t junk apps and games. We get hundreds of emails every week about new apps and games being released on Android, so we’ve gone through them and found some of the best to throw out to our readers to check out.
Sliding Messaging Pro
This isn’t just another SMS app replacement. Sliding Messaging Pro is what the stock Messaging app should have been on Android 4.0 and up. It brings you the choice of Holo, Cards or the Hangouts UI. Along with many themes. There is a free version and a paid version, and it’s a great app for your SMS and MMS messages.
PBA Bowling Challenge
You’re probably wondering why I’m suggesting a bowling game this week. Well it’s one of the few games that has integrated Google Play Game Services into their game, which includes leaderboards and achievements. So you can play against your friends. It’s completely free too!
Snapdragon BatteryGuru
This an app that got updated and left beta earlier this week. I’ve got it installed on my Nexus 4 to check it out, but supposedly it’ll make your phone or tablet have even better battery life by learning how you use your device. It only works with Snapdragon devices like the Droid DNA, Nexus 4, HTC One, LG Optimus G, etc.
CheapOair Flight Search
If you’re looking to fly somewhere soon, you’ll definitely want to check out CheapOair, as it allows you to search, compare and book cheap flights fast from the app. You can also sort results by price, travel time or number of stops. Also purchase travel insurance and travel assist as well.
Sir Death
Here’s a new game by Gamevil. Its tagline is the Hunter of the Undead. And the basic premise of the game is that when a dying world needs a hero, Sir Death stands fearlessly. It’s just another Zombie game, but is it better than Dead Trigger? We’ll let you be the judge.
