Well, it looks like the Galaxy Note 2 on Verizon is getting Android 4.1.2 pretty soon. Verizon has detailed the update over on the support site. It brings Android 4.1.2 – Jelly bean along with “several” security fixes to the device. The changelog is pretty long and includes several device enhancements as well as app improvements and even removing a pre-installed app. Thumbs up for less bloatware, right?
The update will bring your Galaxy Note 2 to baseband I605VRAMC3 and the build will be JZO54K.I605VRAMC3. Android 4.1.2 will be coming as an Over the Air update and weighs in at about 246.5MB. The update gets rid of Zappos, which was previously pre-installed on the Galaxy Note 2. It also brings improvements to the VZ Navigator, SMS text messaging app, Backup Assistant Plus, Exchange Active Sync (EAS) Email, ISIS Mobile Wallet and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Verizon also has some “key device enhancements”. You’ll be getting a snooze option in the Alarm Clock app that is set to “on” by default. There is also a search or filter by name option in the dialer and the ability to download images using the Enterprise Exchange email. Changes to Multi-Window are coming as well. Multi-Window now supports YouTube, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon Kindle, Viewdini, Google Maps, and Google Talk. Here’s the rest of the changes:

There’s plenty more changes coming in this update as well, which you can hit the source link below to find out all about the update. So far there is no hint as to when it’ll be rolling out, but it should be on it’s way to your device in the next few days. Which is what usually happens after Verizon details a new update for a device.
