ASUS K008 10.1-inch with Snapdragon S4 Pro Tablet Passes Through the FCC

Lots of devices hitting the FCC lately. We’ve seen a number of Motorola phones, a Huawei tablet, and now a second ASUS tablet has passed through the FCC. This device that visited the FCC, is a 10.1-inch tablet and it appears to be a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, a rear camera along with 32GB of storage internally. It also has Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G connectivity. Additionally it has NFC capabilities too.

It appears that this one won’t be a Transformer tablet since there’s no connectivity ports at the bottom for the tablet for a dock, like with the Transformer Infinity Pad TF700T. It probably runs Jelly Bean, but we aren’t to sure yet. ASUS usually sticks to near stock Android, which is always a good thing and helps ASUS bring in updates quicker than most other OEMs.

Remember Computex is next week, and ASUS has an event on June 3rd to announce a thing or two. In fact, they’ve been teasing us with some sort of Transformer/Galaxy Note hybrid device. We’re expecting ASUS to announce a few devices on June 3rd. Hopefully they do bring out some nice tablets at Computex, as they are in desperate need to do so.

How many of you would love to pick up a new ASUS tablet? Even if it wasn’t a Transformer? Remember that since this has visited the FCC, it is destined for the US, if it actually gets released. Only devices that are coming to the US hit the FCC, but not every device that hits the FCC gets released. So we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on this device. I’d certainly like to see a nice 10-inch tablet from ASUS, hopefully with a full HD display. But I’d rather see it have a Tegra 4 processor than the Snapdragon S4 Pro.
