Featured Review: Cygnett FlipFiber Case for the Galaxy S4

Cygnett has sent us out quite a few cases for the Galaxy S4 to review. The first one that we’ll be taking a look at is the FlipFiber case. It’s kinda like the S View Cover, without the viewing part on the front. It also doesn’t have the magnet to wake it up or put it to sleep when you open and close the cover. Which is a bit unfortunate, but you get used to it. It’s made of microfiber and it feels really nice, there’s also a small pocket on the inside where you can place a credit card or your Driver’s License. It’s a very sleek case that wraps around your Galaxy S4 seamlessly.

The FlipFiber from Cygnett is a pretty good looking case. I’m not a huge fan of the flip cover type cases, but I’m learning to accept them. This is the second case like that, that I’ve reviewed now. The one major downside to this flip cover compared to the S View Cover is that you can’t fold the cover back and take pictures as the cover is in the way and you’ll just get a black picture. Other than that it feels great in your hand, looks great, and the rubber on the edges is a really nice touch. It definitely makes the Galaxy S4 harder to fall out of your hand.

The FlipFiber case is available from Cygnett for $35. It appears to only be in Gray at this time. But that may change soon. If you’re looking for a nice flip cover-esque case for your new Galaxy S4, this is probably one of the better ones to get. And it’s quite a bit cheaper than Samsung’s. It does not replace the back battery cover though. It goes around it, just to clarify. I’d definitely recommend this case to anyone with the Galaxy S4.
