Featured Review: Powerocks Tarot 1500mAh Portable Charger

Today, we’re taking a look at one of Powerocks smaller portable charger. We’ve already checked out their 9000mAh and 2800mAh portable chargers and have been pretty impressed with them. This one is their smallest, at least on the side of capacity. The Tarot is quite a bit smaller than the others we’ve reviewed in the past few weeks. It is only a 1500mAh battery, so don’t expect it to fully charge one of today’s flagship phones.

Similar to the others, it has a LED light indicator to show you how much juice is left along with a USB and microUSB port on the site. It’s available in silver, and looks quite nice. All of Powerocks batteries come with a small white pouch to keep the battery in. But because it’s white, it collects dust like a magnet. It was able to bring my Nexus 4 from about 10% up to about 50%. So it does give you some juice to make it through the rest of the day. If you’re playing Ingress, this won’t help you a whole lot. You’ll want to pick up their 9000mAh or even the 12000mAh battery that Powerocks has available.

It works just like it should, it’s just that it’s much smaller than most batteries that are built into flagship devices nowadays. So if you need something small, that can help make your phone last through the rest of the day, it’ll be a good choice. But I’d still recommend getting one of their bigger portable batteries. You can grab the Tarot from Powerocks website for about $35 right now. And check out their website for many other battery solutions.
