Google Launching their Playground at Google I/O Next Week? "Let's Play Together

Google I/O is about a week away. It all goes down next Wednesday, and we’ll be bringing you all the action like you’ve come to expect from Android Headlines in the past. So expect plenty of rumors and leaks between now and May 15th. Google has now announced the theme for Google I/O and the motto, which you can see in the image above. Which means Google might have some other surprises and goodies for us come next week.

We’ve already ruled out the Nexus 5 and Android 5.0 – Key Lime Pie. But since the theme is “Let’s Play Together” that kinda tells you to expect more than just a Nexus 7 refresh. Maybe we’ll see a Motorola device launched as well? We’ve already come to expect some twists and turns and big surprises from Google at their events, and this year’s I/O should be nothing different.

There has already been talk of Android gaming, which Android Police found evidence of recently. Which is what we are thinking this event might be about. If you look at the invitation down below, you can see that “Playground” is capitalized. Additionally, the Android guy’s head looks kinda like a gaming controller. It might be hard to see, but if you look at it for a minute you’ll see it. Google also just hired a Chief Game Designer recently. Which kinda shows that Google is really looking to get some Google Games going.

Whatever Google has to show us, we’ll be sure to cover it all, in-depth as we always do. Google I/O’s keynote begins at 9am PDT on May 15th, and we can’t wait to see what Google shows off for Android, Chrome, Project Glass, Google TV and everything else.

So what do you think “Let’s Play Together” means for Google’s developer conference? Is it Google Games or something else?
