Google Play for Web Getting a Redesign

Today, Chris Yerga from Google Play introduced some new features from Google Play. The web version of Google Play (play.google.com) is getting a redesign which will allow it to match up to the new version on your Android devices. They’ve also added a new “designed for tablets” section in Google Play which allows you to find apps that are designed specifically for tablets.

Google is also redesigning their Play apps including Play Books, Videos, and Music, which will match the Google Play UI. And boy does it look great. But that’s not all Google Play has announced, we are also getting a new Music service, which Tom covered a bit earlier. So most of the rumors have come true so far. The new design isn’t up yet, at least for me. But I’d expect it to start rolling out over the next few hours.

This is still developing, so be sure to check back for all of our Google I/O coverage.
