We know HTC has been having difficulty keeping their HTC One in stock lately. In fact, it seems that everywhere it’s out of stock. Which looks like good news, since they are selling. But it’s also bad news because if a person can’t get a HTC One today or in the next week, they’ll find another phone to purchase. We’ve been hearing about their component and supply issues over the last month or so. And it hasn’t really gotten much better.
But HTC is hoping to keep your business and interest in the HTC One. It appears that they are sending out $25 Google Play credits for those that had to wait for their HTC One. It also appears that those orders that were placed in the first day or two might get the credit as well. Since those orders are being reviewed. But if you’re order falls into the right time frame, HTC will send you a code that’s worth $25 on the Google Play Store. Which is always a good gift. In fact, Google gave out $25 Google Play credits with their Nexus 7 last summer.
While HTC is having trouble with supplies, it definitely looks like they are doing their best to keep customers happy. Which isn’t always easy. Especially when you have had a bad couple of years like HTC. And most people are having trouble trusting you to give them updates in a timely manner or at all. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, HTC is trying to turn it around, which is good. But it could be too little, too late. We’ll have to wait and see what Q2 sales numbers look like for the Taiwanese manufacturers.
How many of you have ordered or have received your HTC One already? I’m waiting for the Stealth Black one to be available at T-Mobile before making the switch myself, which still might not happen if Android 4.3 comes out soon. Let us know in the comments below if you’ve gotten this email from HTC.
