Some more details have emerged about the rumored HTC T6. If you haven’t heard about it already, it’s supposedly a phablet device meant to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note.
The leaked information comes from none other than the infamous @evleaks. Hopefully, you know the name by now as Mr Leaks has been responsible for a number of rumors over the past few months.
According to the leak posted on Unlockr, the HTC T6 is going to include the following specs or something similar:
- 5.9-inch full HD display
- 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8974)
- 2.1MP front facing camera with wide angle lens
- 2GB of installed RAM
- 16GB of internal storage with MicroSD expansion slot
- Capacitive pen/stylus (like the one included with the HTC Flyer)
- Fingerprint reader located on the rear of the device
- Key Lime Pie (unconfirmed)
- 3,300mAh battery
As you can tell from the specs, those are some pretty big assumptions. Of course, we’re already salivating at the idea of a much larger HTC One look-alike. Just throw in the extra features mentioned above and our excitement has amped up to an all-out frenzy. A leak is nothing more than a sophisticated rumor, so we’ll reserve our final judgments for the official confirmation of the device, and you probably should too.
Supposedly, the HTC T6 is going to be compatible with unique accessories like a “powerjacket” which is basically a charging case, that also happens to include 1,250mAh of extra juice.
Key Lime Pie has yet to be confirmed by Google so it’s possible that information may turn out to be incorrect by the time the T6 is commercially available, but who knows. The capacitive stylus and fingerprint reader are definitely welcome additions to any handset. @evleaks says that the reader will be located on the rear of the device, in order to make it easier to unlock and interact with. Presumably, you can just slide your finger over the reader and unlock the screen or security setup quickly and efficiently.
