LG Optimus G2 Leaks; Could This Be the Nexus 5?

Evleaks has done it again. This time he’s leaked the LG Optimus G2. Which we’re speculating will be the base-model of the Nexus 5, since the Optimus G was the base of the Nexus 4. If you check out the picture above you’ll see that the device actually looks rather nice (even though it has the famous blue-screen of death from Windows devices) and there appears to be no buttons! So it looks like the Optimus G2 will have no buttons like it’s Nexus brother. That’s a great thing to see.

The Korea Times has also reported that the Nexus 5 will be based off of the Optimus G2. Some of the specs we’re hearing for the LG Optimus G2 include the Snapdragon 800 processor which does include recording 4k ultra HD video. There’s also a possibility that there will be a flexible OLED display. LG is really looking to blow us away with the Optimus G2, which is what they need to do. Especially if they want to compete with the likes of Samsung in the US.

The Optimus G2 isn’t supposed to be announced until this fall, which would probably be shortly before the Nexus 5 launch and the next, next version of Android. So far there’s nothing confirmed, but @evleaks has a pretty good track record with leaks. He’s been right many more times than he’s been wrong. In fact, I can only remember him being wrong once.

We’re all excited about the Nexus 5, and if this is what the Nexus 5 will be based off of, I think Google and LG will have a treat in store for us. The phone in that picture does look to have a 5-inch or larger display, but we have no idea if it actually is or not.

So what do you think? Would you buy a Nexus 5 based off of this device?
