On Thursday afternoon, HTC and Google finally confirmed the rumored HTC One running stock Android. Ever since Google and Samsung teamed up to release a model of the Galaxy S4 running stock Android, rumors had been swirling about the possibility of HTC doing the same, and the two companies finally confirmed the device yesterday. The Google Experience edition of the HTC One is set to be released on June 26th and will cost $599 via the Google Play Store.
Another big topic that has been heavily rumored lately is the next update to Android, believed to be 4.3. While many expected it to be unveiled at Google I/O, it wasn’t and Google has been silent on the matter since then. According to a new report, the HTC One will be one of the first devices to get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and it will begin rolling out a few weeks after the device launches.
User @LlabTooFer has gained a solid reputation on Twitter for leaking exclusive information regarding HTC’s plans, and on Friday, he returned with some news regarding two of the hottest topics in the Android world right now. The source simply tweeted, “Confirmed: HTC One Nexus Edition will get 4.3 update few weeks after release.” There’s nothing else to the tweet and no further details, so we’re still kind of at a loss as to what changes Android 4.3 will have.
One thing that’s still a little unclear is who exactly will be delivering updates to the Google Experience devices. We are pretty sure that Google will at this point, but it’s unclear if HTC and Samsung will have any say at all. It’s also a tad unclear as to how Google Experience devices will differ from Nexus devices in terms of updates.

A few weeks ago we saw leaked images of the Nexus 4 running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but they simply showed a semi-new camera app and nothing else.
Keep in mind that this is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt, especially when we aren’t even 100 percent sure that Android 4.3 exists. What do you think Android 4.3 will bring to the table? Will it be the Google Experience devices or the Nexus devices that get the update first? Let us know what you think down in the comments!
