T-Mobile Customers Get MLB At Bat Service Free for 2013 Season; Must Activate Before June 30th

Great news for MLB fans out there. Remember back at CES when T-Mobile announced their multi-year contract with the MLB? Well that contract starts today. Which means T-Mobile customers get free access to the video and audio streaming app. Normally it’ll cost about $20 a year and is part of the expensive MLB.tv game streaming package.

There are some strict terms for this deal. You’ll have to have an active T-Mobile account to qualify, you also have to download the app between today and June 30th. If you already have it on your phone, you’ll need to uninstall and reinstall. It was also just updated, so the update might work as well. Then you’ll be able to redeem your year of access to the mobile service. It’s just that easy. If you want to use the app on your wifi only tablet, you’ll need to download it onto your T-Mobile phone and create your MLB.com account before using it on your tablet. Afterwards, you’ll be able to use MLB At Bat on any device, that includes iOS.

The app does provide live video game-style updates for all MLB games all season long. It also provides access to the official radio coverage of all live games, and live video streaming of the MLB Game of the Week. But be careful of the blackouts. I just tried to watch the Twins vs Tigers game and it’s blacked out in my area. You can download MLB At Bat form the Play Store link below.

MLB At Bat is compatible for all Android devices running Android 2.2 or later. That means just about everyone can use it. It also works on T-Mobile’s prepaid plans. How many of you are MLB fans? What’s your favorite team? Let us know in the comments below.
