Android How To: Install Apps from the Google Play Store on the Web

One of the features that Android has over iOS is to do with the Play Store on the web, which is located at play.google.com. On Android you can install apps remotely from Google Play’s website. Now if you’re coming from iOS or another platform you may not know about this, simply because no other platform has this feature. So today we’re going to walk you through how to install apps from the Play Store’s website.

  1. Go to play.google.com
  2. Search for the app you want to download
  3. Tap on ‘Install’ on the left side.
  4. Select the device you want to install it on from the drop-down menu
  5. Tap on ‘Install’ Again
  6. A few seconds later it’ll give you a confirmation and select ‘OK’
  7. That’s it.

It’s just that simple to install apps from the Google Play Store’s website. Now if you know there’s an update uploaded for an app and you’re impatient to wait for the update you can force the update by following the steps above.
