Rumorville is in full force for the Galaxy Note 3 right now. We still have a few months before the Galaxy Note 3 is due to be announced, but the rumor mill is churning out new rumors everyday about the device. The latest rumor, well leak is coming from patchwork.kernel.org. It shows that the upcoming device from Samsung could be sporting an Exynos 5420 processor that hasn’t been announced yet. It appears that the 5420 would be the successor to the 5250 which is the Octa-core processor in the Galaxy S4.
This is coming out of the Dutch tech blog Mobileaks, which found the document which makes multiple references to the new processor. The news is also contradicting that the Note 3 would feature a Snapdragon 800 processor. But it’s entirely possible that the US version gets the Snapdragon 800 and the International version gets the Exynos 5420. It’s happened with the Galaxy S3 and S4 in the past couple of years. So that’s not to much of a stretch.
Other rumors for the Galaxy Note 3 include a 5.9-inch display with a 1920×1080 full HD display, 2GB of RAM (possibly 3GB) with Android 4.3 – Jelly Bean. Which hasn’t even been announced yet. Samsung is also holding a press conference on June 20th in London. We aren’t expecting them to announce the Galaxy Note 3 then. But they could certainly surprise us, and that would be a surprise we’d love to see, am I right?
How many of you would love to pick up a Galaxy Note 3 with an improved Octa-core processor? I know I’d love to have a octa-core processor in my next phone. If just for bragging rights. Who needs a quad core these days with these octa-cores coming out, right? Let us know in the comments down below what you think.
