HTC Said they would only release one flagship device this year. Well so far they have. But they’ve also released the HTC First, which was a huge flop. There’s also a few other devices rumored to be making their way into the wild soon as well. Including the Desire 200 and 600. Along with the HTC One Mini, which is codenamed the M4. The HTC M4 we’ve been hearing about since the M7 (HTC One) began being rumored. In June the company plans to release some of these phones. Including the Desire 600 as a dual-SIM device, and Butterfly S as well.
HTC is also developing a large-size phone, codenamed T6, which is expected to come with a 5.9-inch full HD display, and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.3GHz CPU, the sources indicated.
The HTC One Mini will also come with a dual-core CPU and a 4.3-inch display which should be a 720p resolution and run Android 4.2. Not even the HTC One runs Android 4.2…yet. The HTC One Mini is said to begin entering volume production in July.
The HTC One mini and the T6 both will adopt metal chassis, with Taiwan-based Catcher Technology as the primary supplier, while China-based BYD will serve as the secondary supplier, the sources revealed.
This is coming from Digitimessources, so they could be right, or they could be wrong. Very wrong. But the fact that we’ve heard about the HTC One Mini, Desire 600 and Butterfly S from other sources in the past few weeks, it sounds like they could be rather true.
There’s also the T6 rumored, which is HTC’s phablet based on the HTC One. So we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see if all these devices really will be unveiled and enter the US market. But so far in 2013, HTC isn’t doing to bad, until you compare them to the Galaxy S4. How many of you want to see HTC at least try to compete with the likes of Samsung?
