LG Optimus G2 Stills from 'Learning From You' Video Leak, Thanks @Evleaks

The date is set, August 7th in New York City, LG is holding an event where we are expecting to see the Optimus G2. So let the rumor mill commence.

Today, one of our favorite leakers out there, @evleaks got his hands on some still images of the Optimus G2 from a video about the device entitled “Learning From You”. In this “video” the G2 shows off it’s rumored back-mounted controls. Until know, it wasn’t confirmed that the G2 would have controls on the back. But now it looks like it will. Unless this was a prototype that didn’t make it. It appears that the G2 will have the volume rocker and the power button on the back. Which I still think is a bit awkward.

These stills don’t offer up much information, but we do expect to see and hear more about the device over the next 6 weeks leading up to LG’s event in NYC. We do know that it’ll have a Snapdragon 800 processor, and we’ve heard that it’ll have on-screen navigation buttons. The first image (shown above) shows that we could have on-screen navigation keys. Since the bottom only shows the LG logo. Unless it’s a branded home button like the Verizon Galaxy Note 2. I’m really hoping it’s not a branded home button. It looked horrible on the Galaxy Note 2 for Verizon.

So that’s about all we know at this point. We’ll be on the lookout for more goodies for LG’s press event in August. But it’s still kinda far out so we may not see a whole lot of leaks and rumors yet.

How many of you are looking forward to the LG G2? What do you think about the buttons on the back? Let us know in the comments below.
