LG G2 Leaks for Korean Carrier LG U+, Confirming Volume Rocker on Back Yet Again

The LG Optimus G2 (although its been rumored to be just the G2) has been a very hot device lately. We’ve been seeing rumors about it for a few months now and we’re expecting LG to formally announce it at their August 7th event in New York City. The LG G2 is said to have the volume rocker on the back near the camera. Which we’ve seen in pictures before, so it appears to be confirmed again in this latest leak. The volume rocker on the back may seem a bit odd or weird, but when you think about it, your fingers are always on the back of the device. So it’s kind of genius.

As far as specs go for the G2 we’re looking at:

  • 5.2-inch 1920×1080 resolution IPS display
  • Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3GHz
  • 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization
  • Dual-Speakers
  • Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
  • Smart DMB Supported, which really only matters in South Korea
  • LTE-Advanced Support
  • 2-3GB of RAM
  • Wireless charging built-in
  • 2540mAh battery

We’re sure the official spec list will be much longer, but looking at these specs, the G2 is going to be one hot device. Although I do wish the battery was a bit bigger, for a 5.2-inch display, I don’t think 2540mAh is quite big enough. Hopefully it’ll be removable so we can throw an extended battery on there from Anker, Mugen or Zero Lemon. Remember the device isn’t yet official, so take these specs with a grain of salt, even though we’ve been seeing them crop up quite often in the past couple of months.

How many of you are excited for the next iteration in the Optimus G line from LG? The Model number is said to be LG-F320L, which matches other leaks, so hopefully we’ll see it hit all the US carriers unlike the Optimus G and Optimus G Pro. That’s what LG really needs to do to be successful in the US.
