It seems like we’ve been hearing about the Moto X ever since Google acquired Motorola. We recently learned in May that the Moto X does exist, from the CEO of Motorola, Dennis Woodside. We know that Motorola is planning on updating all their phone lines between now and October. So we’re expecting the Moto X to be released sometime in the next few months. We really don’t have any specs about the device, other than it’s a “hero” device so it’ll be a flagship. It’ll also be heading to all the US carriers. Which is a must in this day and age.
Ad agency, Ad Age, shows some definite Google influence, as you can see in the ad down below. The ad seems to be centered around the 4th of July which is this Thursday, and focuses on the fact that it is made in the US. Which is a huge day. Since many of our phones and tablets are made in China or other parts of the world. Remember Motorola is using an old Nokia warehouse to build these phones in Texas. Apple is doing the same with their new Mac Pro, that they showed off at WWDC last month.
There are still no images of the phone, but the ad does gloat about the fact the device is fully customizable and “designed by you.” Of course, this coincides with all the rumors we’ve heard that the Moto X will be customizable. Our only questions is, how customizable will it be? Some reports have said it’ll be customizable like when you buy a computer from Dell, HP, Apple, etc. I’m not sure Motorola can customize their Moto X that far, but it definitely would be nice right? This ad is set to run on the July 3rd editions of USA Today, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
It’s getting exciting seeing everything Motorola has in store, or could possibly have in store, for us. I’m getting really excited for this device. I just hope it doesn’t disappoint all of us. I also hope that the X FON and the Moto X are two different phones. How many of you are excited for the Moto X? Let us know in the comments down below.
