New Nexus 7 Continues to Leak – Pictures and Video Included

The new Nexus 7 is leaking like crazy today. So I guess it’s pretty much a given that we’ll see the device at Google’s event next week. The folks at Android Central, has gotten their hands on some pictures and videos. They had to do a little bit of photoshop to protect their source, but this appears to be the real deal. As you can see the tablet looks a bit different than the existing Nexus 7. It adds a camera on the back. The Nexus logo is now turned, so it’s nor parallel to the ASUS logo. We’re expecting this tablet to be announced next week, but who  knows when it’ll finally be official.

As a reminder, this isn’t official and nothing has been announced yet. This could be a prototype or the final product. This product is labeled as ME571k_Pr1_SKU2 and is manufactured by ASUS. There should be about two versions of the Nexus 7 coming. A 16GB and a 32GB option, along with a WiFi and an LTE or HSPA+ version.

The specs for this little guy have a 7-inch LCD display, two cameras, a 1.2MP on the front and a 5MP on the back. The camera on the back is in the same corner as the 3.5mm headphone jack. The listed motherboard points to the device sporting a Snapdragon S4 Pro, which is the same processor from the Nexus 4. Yes it’s an older processor but it’s still quite capable. It also shows that it has 4GB of DDR3L RAM, but that we’re going to take with a ton of salt. I’d expect closer to 2GB of RAM on the Nexus 7. They have also seen a phone dialer on this Nexus 7. Which means Google may have enabled it to be used as a phone. Who needs the Xperia Z Ultra, when you can use the Nexus 7 as your phone?

How many of you are excited for this Nexus 7 to become official?
