Notion Ink’s ADAM II tablet has made several appearances in the last few months. We have seen a blurry shot of the device in November of last year. Detailed specs leaked back in May. Now we have a pretty massive leak showing us the tablet, a dock for it, the packaging, power adapter, and a leather cover. We also get to see the EVE concept smartphone that is designed as a companion to the ADAM II tablet.
These images were posted on Behance and were pulled almost immediately. We grabbed them for you, and have laid them all out in a gallery. There are a few diagrams and a lot of information, in addition to the images of the devices.
The dock can be folded into a small rectangle for easy storage and carrying. When you unfold it, it forms a T shape. We can see the dock in action with the tablet resting on it. The leather cover is smooth, two-toned leather on the outside with plastic on the inside. The strap has a magnetic clasp. The cover comes in three color options: Coal Black/Smokey Grey, Cerulean Blue/Smokey Grey, and Coal Black/Burnt Umber. The stylus has a smooth rubber grip on it and looks like it will be easy to handle.
The rumored specs for the ADAM II tablet look decent:
- 10.1 inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution
- 1.5 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor
- 1 GB of RAM
- 6000 mAh battery with up to 10 hours of usage
- Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
The EVE concept smartphone is interesting. We don’t have a lot of details on it yet, but it’s designed to be a companion to the ADAM II tablet. It has a 4 inch screen with a secondary display along the spine, just like the original ADAM tablet. The display on the spine will show notifications and system status updates.
The ADAM II had previously been rumored to be priced at $200 USD, but now we’re hearing that this pricing may be incorrect. We still don’t have solid information on how much the tablet will cost. No word on a release date yet, either.
