Rogers Leaks Video about the Moto X, Shows off Features and All But Confirms August Release Date

Up until about a week ago, it seemed all we were writing and reading in the Android world was something about Samsung. But since the July 4th holiday, we’ve been seeing tons of leaks, rumors and even ads for the Moto X begin to pop up. We’re figuring they are controlled leaks to get everyone hyped about the Moto X, or as some call it “hype beasting” the Moto X.

We learned not too long ago that Rogers would have an exclusive on the Moto X, at least up in Canada. As we know just about every carrier in the US will be having the Moto X later this year. There’s now a leaked video from Rogers that shows plenty of features of the Moto X. Which includes an “Always on” feature that allows you to get at the camera at any time. You can tap anywhere to take a photo and long press for burst shot.

Android Central’s Forums are also showing off screenshots from the AT&T version, which include the specs. Confirming it’ll be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, and about 12GB of internal storage. So it looks like it comes with 16GB internal with 12GB available. It’s also coming with Android 4.2.2 and a 1280×720 panel with on screen buttons.

The Voice control in the Moto X seems to be pretty cool. Allowing to say things like “OK Moto Magic” to get its attention. Similar to “Hi Galaxy” for S Voice. With leaks coming out basically everyday, we’re expecting to know everything about this phone and more before Motorola finally announces it. Which should be sometime this month. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the announcement and availability of this “hero” phone.
