Rumor: Samsung to Announce the Galaxy Note 3 on September 4th

We’ve been hearing lots of rumors about the next generation Galaxy Note in the past few weeks. We are expecting the Galaxy Note 3 to be announced around IFA, which is at the end of August. AndroidGeeks is reporting that an inside source says the Galaxy Note 3 will be unveiled at an Unpacked Event just before the start of IFA in Berlin. Now remember both the Original Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 were announced at this same event in 2011 and 2012 respectively. In fact, even the Galaxy Camera was announced at this event last year. So we might see a Galaxy Camera 2 this fall at the same event.

So what are we expecting? Well we are expecting a larger display. It’s been rumored to be 5.7-6.3-inches, along with being an AMOLED and a LCD display. Which would probably depend on the region. We’ve also heard that the Galaxy Note 3 will feature the Snapdragon 800, along with the second generation Exynos 5 Octa processor. Of course, we’ll see a 13MP camera on the back, with a 2MP or larger camera on the front. We’ll definitely see 2GB of RAM with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions of the Galaxy Note 3. We’re definitely going to expect to see Touchwiz Nature UX on the device and it’s rumored to have Android 4.3 on board as well, even though it has not been announced yet.

Don’t worry folks, the rumors are just getting started. We still have a couple more months until the Galaxy Note 3 is finally announced and made official. This date does make a lot of sense, like we said already, both previous generations of the Galaxy Note was announced at this same event. But that means we probably won’t see it on US carriers until October or even November. Last year the Galaxy Note 2 was announced in late August and didn’t hit Verizon until November, but of course Verizon is always last to launch a device.

How many of you are awaiting the Galaxy Note 3 this fall? I’m definitely waiting on it to replace my Nexus 4, mostly for the amazing battery life the Galaxy Note 2 brings, I’m hoping for the Galaxy Note 3 to have even better battery life. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
