Why don’t we take a stock a minute here. We know what’s inside of the new Nexus 7, you can pre-order it from Best Buy and Sam’s Club and we’ve seen that a few people have been able to buy one early. Surely, nothing more can happen before Google’s event, right? Wrong. The folks over at Android Police have been sent a handful of beautiful pictures of the device being unboxed and manhandled – there’s even a video as well. There are lots of photos but, we’re going to take a look at some of the more interesting ones. Like, for instance, how much the Nexus 7 looks like the Nexus 10:
In fact, the tipster in question likened the back of the Nexus 7 to the Nexus 10, which seems to us that Google is getting more of their own way when it comes to the new Nexus 7. As well as a look at the device in question, there’s a quick look at the packaging, which is a little more colorful than last year’s, but still nice and minimal.
We’re not market experts or anything but, we’d like to think that this box would easily stand out on the shelves a little bit more. Besides, you can hardly miss that Google logo there on the right, can you? Below is the video of the Nexus 7 getting unboxed and a quick tour around Android 4.3.
As you can see, there’s not too much new in Android 4.3 but, this is just a quick look and we’ve already seen what isn’t new with Android 4.3. The display looks super-nice and the viewing angles look pretty great but, it’s hard to tell in stills.
The new Nexus 7, along with Android 4.3 should finally be announced at Google’s “Breakfast with Sundar Pichai” event, so stay tuned to the site where we’ll have the latest news as soon as we have it.
