The LG G2 is Set To land on the 4 Major Carriers Come September, According to Analyst

Do these analysts really know anything? Well sometimes they are spot on and sometimes they are way off. This time I believe they are spot on. Since we’ve already seen T-Mobile and AT&T variants of the G2 go through the FCC, and we heard yesterday it’ll be hitting Verizon as well. That only leaves Sprint. Analyst Mark C. Newman believes that LG is following Samsung’s footsteps and launching the G2 on all four major carriers. Which honestly, it didn’t take a genius to figure that one out.

LG is planning to announce the G2 on August 7th in New York City. They are also planning to launch it in Korea in August, the US and Europe in September and other regions throughout the world in October. Making it a pretty rapid release compared to their other flagships in the past. You might remember, we saw the Optimus G Pro back at Mobile World Congress in February but it wasn’t announced for the US until May and launched mid-May.

According to the data collected by Strategic Analytics for the second quarter of 2013, LG is currently sitting at 5% with Apple controlling 13.6% and Samsung has 33.1% of the global market share. So LG could easily take on Apple’s spot with the G2 and they probably could be closer if they hadn’t given AT&T an “exclusive” on the Optimus G Pro already.

We also already know many of the features of the G2, one big thing is that it won’t be Optimus G2, but just the G2. Which LG already confirmed during a press release not too long ago. We also know it’ll have a Snapdragon 800 processor, probably clocked at about 2.3GHz. We’ve also seen many pictures of the device and it appears to have a 5.2-inch full HD display. Of course we don’t know all the details yet, but we will in about 2 weeks time.

The LG G2 is one of the most anticipated devices of the year. Right up there with the Galaxy S4, HTC One and Galaxy Note 3. How many of you are excited for their event on August 7th?
