Lately, the rumor mill for the Moto X has been working over time. As we’ve been getting 2-3 leaks per day for the last week or so. Now the folks over at Droid-Life have put some pieces together that show us the differences between the US Moto X and the International Moto X.
So what are the differences between the US variants and the International Moto X? Mostly to do with the speaker. As you can see in the images down below the US variant has the speaker grill on the back right-hand side, and is also using high-quality polycarbonate. Then if you look at the dual-SIM variant (likely headed to China) that leaked not too long ago, you’ll see the speaker is on the left side and is made out of cheaper looking plastic.
Yes, it’s all subtle but it’s there. So does this really matter? Probably not. It’s just interesting to see the changes between the variants. At least Motorola won’t be using two different processors, like another OEM has done. The speaker on the dual-SIM variant was likely moved because of the SIM card slot being right where the speaker is on the right-hand side. Makes sense right? Even the Moto X we saw a Motorola exec and Eric Schmidt with earlier today, show the speaker on the right side, and it appears to be made of polycarbonate, which is a bit more high-quality plastic material.
Nonetheless, we should know all the specifics very soon. Motorola has already begun ramping up the marketing for the Moto X. So we’re expecting an announcement this month with it releasing next. This is just a theory as Droid-Life stated, but it could all be true. How many of you are excited for the Moto X? I know the pictures that came out this morning really got me excited for it. I’m anxiously awaiting Motorola and Google making it official.
