Nexus 7 Coming to Countries All Over the Globe
The new Nexus 7 is a great device, if you need to learn more about it – you can read our post here. It’s coming to countries like Germany, South Korea, Japan, Spain, Canada, France and Australia as well as India real soon. There’s no word on pricing throughout the globe just yet, but it’s only a little more expensive than the older model – at $229 for 16GB and $269 for 32GB on WiFi. Baidu Spending Nearly $2.0 Billion to Build Their Own App Store
Many of our readers will know and love Baidu for their range of services. Well, it looks like that range of services is about to get a lot bigger as the company is spending $1.9 Billion to build their own app store. The company has bought 91 Wireless Websoft Ltd. which runs the HiMarket app store in China, one of the largest. This deal could mean big things for Baidu going forward as in China there are very few Android devices that ship with Google’s Play Store, leaving Baidu to fill the gap How many of you are big Baidu fans?
THL MonkeyKing Sells Out in Less Than 5 Minutes
The MonkeyKing from THL, with its 13-megapixel front-facing camera sold 10,000 units in less than 5 minutes, which is pretty incredible when you think about it. The device is nothing out of the ordinary, with a MediaTek MT6589, a 5-inch 1080p display and the rest but, it’s that 13-megapixel front-facing camera that has people enthralled. Sony Xperia Z Ultra Comes to Taiwan
Sony’s latest – and largest – smartphone is heading to Taiwan soon. If you’re unfamiliar with the device, imagine the Xperia Z but a lot bigger, at 6.4-inches this is quite easily the largest phone in the world right now, and with the Snapdragon 800 at 2.2 Ghz under the hood, this thing is quick. The device is launching in Taiwan soon for the price for $22,900 which is slightly cheaper than it is in China. They’ve also secured Bolin Chen as their product ambassador. Pretty cool, right?
