New Nexus 7 Now Available in the UK

The latest Nexus 7 is now available from the Play Store in the UK. At long last, Brits can now buy the Nexus 7 directly from Google. Starting at £199, only the WiFi versions are available right now but, the LTE version of the device is said to be launching shortly. Now, you can get the Nexus 7 from a number of retailers across the UK including Currys and PC World. You can now get it from the Play Store.

Wikipad Gaming Tablet to Launch September 27th in the UK

Launching soon in the UK is the gaming tablet that we’ve all been waiting for. The Wikipad features a 7-inch tablet and a dock that brings with it physical controls. With a 7-inch 1280 x 800 display, Nvidia’s Tegra 3 control, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, it should be good enough for most of your Android gaming needs. It’s launching September 27th for £249.99. While the price might not be the best price, it could well be a great compromise.

o2 To Carry LTE Version of New Nexus 7

While the WiFi-only version of the tablet has recently launched in the UK, the LTE version is still incoming. O2 have come out and confirmed that the new tablet will be running on their new 4G network that just went live. For £319.99 you can get the 32GB LTE version of the new Nexus 7. Whether or not it’s worth it, is up to you but, you’ll be able to make your decision September 13th.

Archos Gamepad Now Just £74.99

The 7-inch gaming tablet from Archos is now available for just £74.99. While it’s not super-specced or anything, there are worse options out there and at £74.99 it’s almost an impulse buy. You had better be quick though, because there’s no telling either how long Argos will have the offer running, or how much stock they have left.

Three UK Detail Their 4G Network Launch

Three have been the last network in the UK to clarify their LTE plans. Launching in December, 3 will be starting with just London, Birmingham and Manchester but in January 2014 they will be expanding it to 50 towns and cities by the end of the year. Three will also be hoping to cover 98 percent of the population by 2015. Contrasting with other networks, 3 won’t be charging any more for 4G and existing customers will keep their tariffs. So, 3 will soon become the only place you can get unlimited data on 4G LTE. Huzzah!

Google’s Nexus 4 Sees Price Job to Just £159

Google’s Nexus 4 is a great device from LG and it just got a little bit more attractive thanks to a price drop. Google have slashed the price of the Nexus 4 to £159 and £199 for 8GB and 16GB models, respectively. While it might seem like an aging device, the quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and 2GB of RAM make for a very speedy device indeed. Not to mention that it’s a Nexus and you’ll be getting regular updates with stock Android. This is a great phone for a great price.
