The Nvidia Shield is the first Android-based handheld console to take itself seriously, it has amazing hardware capable of running pretty much any game you can think of, thanks to its Tegra 4 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, it’s built like a tank and the controllers are perfectly comfortable to hold, the screen has a nice size with decent resolution but with great color reproduction and the speakers are loud and clear. On top of all of this, it’s running stock Android with the addition of the TegraZone, but you actually want this addition since it will take you to a magic place filled with games to download.
Every game in the TegraZone is compatible with Nvidia Shield or even optimized to it, but there are more games outside the TegraZone that play nicely with the device, they just need to have controller support and it’ll work just fine, here’s the list Nvidia posted of games that play nice with Shield outside the TegraZone. Remember that all this games are outside the TegraZone, if you go inside of it, you can be pretty sure that any game you install will be compatible with Shield, just try to control yourself since Shield only has about 12GB of free storage for you, and some of the games available, specially the hardcore ones, are really heavy. The list will surely grow longer with time as developers add support for game controllers or for Shield specifically.
