HTC is gearing up for a big end to the 2013 selling year. There’s the HTC One and HTC One Mini that are both currently available. The upcoming HTC One Max will be announced in less than a week. This morning in the UK, HTC unveiled two new accessories as well. Both are designed to be paired with the One or pretty much any HTC device with a Bluetooth connection. We’re betting that you could even use them with non-HTC devices.
Multi-tasking solutions for everyone: take calls while using your phone to surf online, watch videos or play games. Instant notifications of texts, events, and emails ensure you won’t miss a thing.
The first is the HTC Mini+. The Mini+ is the successor to the original HTC Mini. Jokes have been made about the Mini being a phone for your phone, but that’s exactly what it is. The Mini+ builds on the original version with the ability to pair to your HDTV and Media Link HD streamer. You can use it to view messages and of course make calls, too. The Mini+ is aimed at people who want to carry a large touchscreen device like the One or One Max, but don’t necessarily want to talk on device that size. If that’s you, HTC should have the Mini+ available for you sometime this winter. We don’t know pricing yet.
If you’re tired of losing your phone or leaving it behind, the HTC Fetch is your solution. Just press the button and the sleek, compact keychain device activates your phone’s ringtone within 15 meters.
The Fetch is an interesting little gadget that can help you to locate a missing phone. It fits on your keyring and the battery will supposedly last a full six months. It connects to your device using low-power Bluetooth 4.0 and beeps when if you step too far away from your phone. If your phone is lost, you can just press the button on the side of the Fetch unit and it will cause your phone to ring. It’s simple and could be extremely helpful. The Fetch is currently on sale at a UK retailer for about $40. HTC says that it should be available in other markets before 2013 comes to an end.
While I probably won’t be purchasing an HTC Mini+, the Fetch is something I could see buying and keeping on my keyring. What about you?
