Black and White just doesn’t cut it anymore with users or Samsung, whether it be the new Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, rumored to come in black, white, grey, orange, and a special “white gold” color, or the new Galaxy Note 3 phablet.
According to sources, when released around week 36 (September 2 – 8), the Note 3 will come in the usual black or white configuration, and then later in October Samsung will make a pink variant of the Note 3. No confirmation was given whether this would be a Korean and Taiwan exclusive or if it will make its way into the U.S. The Galaxy S4 also has a pink model that never made its way past Korea and Taiwan, but we can always hope!
Even if black and white is all the Galaxy Note 3 comes in, many people will be happy to settle for those colors…but that Garnet Red they had on a couple phones was gorgeous in my opinion. The women may like a pink Note 3, but Samsung may be figuring the device is too large for their hands.
But, whatever color it comes in, the Note 3 will be sporting:
- 5.68-inch Super AMOLED 1920×1080 display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core 800 / Octa-core Exynos Processor
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB or 64GB Internal Memory
- MicroSD Slot
- 13MP Camera
- 3200mAh Battery
- Android Jelly Bean 4.3
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 follows the path set by the Note and Note 2, opening up the first true phablet category that many reviewers and users ridiculed, but turned the new category into one that every major phone maker is trying to fill. What makes the Note so different is the S-Pen (stored in the phone) and software that allows the user to instantly jot down a note, draw, paint, or simply doodle. The larger screen is great for reading or viewing the web, yet the phone is slim enough for a pocket.
Let us know if you are waiting for the Note 3, and what you think about a pink one!
