Android 4.3 Build for AT&T HTC One Now Available – Let's Get Downloading!

We were told by HTC many times that they would be skipping the Android 4.2 update for the HTC One and going straight to Android 4.3. So no biggie, but then they also told us that they would be pushing out the updates to all the HTC One variants and the HTC DROID DNA in September. That shocked many of us. Especially those that have owned other HTC devices and know how “quick” they are with updates.

Well here’s some great news for those with the AT&T HTC One. It looks like an Android 4.3 build for your device has popped up over on RootzWiki and is available to download and flash on your device. We’ve only seen Android 4.3 on stock Android (and the Galaxy Note 3) so we don’t really know what exactly to expect with this update. However as far as Android 4.3 goes, it’s mostly all under-the-hood changes. We’ve seen support for OpenGL 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, and much more.

Since we don’t have an HTC One laying around here, we haven’t been able to flash the update to see exactly how stable it is. Or what’s changed. But we do need to warn you that if you’re thinking about flashing this update, you’ll want to backup your device first as you might lose your data and this will help you recover it, just in case. And as always, we are not responsible for any damage to your device.

You can find out more information from this RootzWikithread. How many of you are tempted to check out this Android 4.3 build for the AT&T HTC One? While the AT&T and T-Mobile HTC One’s are very similar, this one is only confirmed to work on the AT&T version. Although I’m very sure it’ll be ported to the other versions very quickly. If you do take the plunge, feel free to let us know in the comments below how everything goes.
