Speedtest 3.0 on its way!
The popular app, Speedtest by Ookla is in a real need for a UI update. We’ve already seen the iOS version of the app get an update, but the Android version has been left in the cold for quite a while. Well that might not be the case much longer. Ookla announced that version 3.0 fo Speedtest is coming this week. So let’s hope for a better launch than BBM.
Google Voice Updated
This week, Google Voice was updated. It wasn’t a huge update, but they did add support for short codes and some bug fixes. So at least Google hasn’t totally forgotten about Google Voice yet. Here’s the changelog from Google Play:

Gmail Gains Cards!
Google was really busy on Wednesday. They updated just about all their core apps. Gmail was next on the list and got a pretty big update:

YouTube Updated to v5.1.10
Along with Gmail and Google Voice, YouTube also saw a nice update. It brings new video notifications and Google ads. Here’s the full changelog from Google Play:

Skype Updated
Next up for an update was Skype. I know many of you probably don’t use Skype, but it was updated this week. Some of the changes include:
- Your screen will remain active while your call is connecting. Once the call has started, everything will work normally
- Added support for 14 additional languages
- A number of general fixes and improvements
Facebook Updates As Well
Today, Facebook began pushing out a new update to the app. This is not for the beta version, but the actual stable version. Here’s the changelog:
