Many of us were shocked to learn that the next iteration of our beloved Operating System will be known as 4.4 Kit Kat rather than the long rumored Key Lime Pie. The news has not yet settled with Android Enthusiasts yet so the verdict is still out on what users think of the name. There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered but one thing is perfectly clear however, Google and Nestle seem to have formed a close partnership to promote both brands.
Shortly after the news broke, both Kit Kat (owned by the Nestle Corporation) took to various social networking sites in order to capitalize on the increased exposure. Kit Kat released this whimsical video parody demonstrating some of the “features” of Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
Based on the video, we can conclude that Kit Kat will at least have the following “features”
It really does taste as good as it looks (Writers Note : AndroidHeadlines will not be held responsible for ingested phones)
A very dark variant of the Holo theme. Matias Duarte clearly had a lot of design influence here by streamlining the interface
It appears the card interface that we are used to have been replaced with bars.
Adjustable orientation to allow the confection to work perfectly in both portrait or landscape.
A taste experience that will leave you up in the cloud
Global Network coverage to allow you to transport the confection anywhere on the planet, including your office.
1 finger long by 4 fingers wide
Perfect second screen companion
KitKat is compatible with all liquid accessories, we assume that the Xperia Z1 will be running this.
Comes in several sizes based in appetite including a 2 mega bite option, a 4 mega bite option or a chunky bite option.
As this appears to be a prototype, we are unsure how many of these features will make it into the final product which is expected to be released in the next few months. As usual, we will keep you up to date on any development so there is no need to continue mashing your “check for update” button.
