Living on the Bleeding Edge – Here's a List of Android Apps Currently in Beta

The most of us here at Android Headlines love living on the bleeding edge. Whether it’s flashing nightly ROMs or playing with a new beta build of Twitter or simply having a Nexus device. It’s fun having the latest and greatest. Some of you might remember back at Google I/O, Google introduced a new beta program for the Play Store. Which allowed developers to have a beta version of their app that was open to either a Google+ community or a Google Group. The group or community is to ask questions, report bugs, request features, etc., it also keeps users from writing bad reviews on the Play Store about your app when it’s in beta. It’s a really great idea.

We’ve already written about some of these apps, but we thought we should make a list. There are a lot of great apps here that are in Beta, and you’ll have fun checking them out as well. How do you join the beta track? Well inside the Group or Community there should be a link to “Become a Tester”. Just simply hit the “Become a Tester” link and you’ll now be a beta tester for that app. It’s literally just that simple. Here are the apps that are currently in beta:

So there you go. Lots of apps in beta right now. I’m sure you’re using a few of these on your device right now. It’s important to note that when you’re using the beta version of some of these, you might find some bugs and stability issues, which is why it’s a beta. So if you don’t want bugs and want the app to be stable, you’re going to want to stick to the production version of the app and stay away from the beta. If there are any apps we missed (which I’m sure there are plenty) be sure to let us know in the comments below.
