Nexus 5 Pictured Yet Again….Still Looks the Same

The Nexus 5 has been big news lately. It’s been “left in a bar”, leaked in the KitKat unveiling video and seen many other places. Like the FCC. Now there’s another picture surfacing of the device. But the funny part is where the picture came from. The source is a pretty funny source, in my opinion. It was found over at MacRumors Forum. Pretty odd right? To see a Nexus 5 leak over at an Apple-centric forum like that? That’s actually one of the biggest Apple forums around too.

The lucky user? None other than weespeed, from MacRumors. He got some time with the Nexus 5. He didn’t reveal too much of the device, but he was able to shoot a quick picture of the back with the Moto X covering up part of the back. He also said that the device is smaller than the LG G2, which is what we all believe the Nexus 5 is going to be based off of. He also said that the display quality was so-so. Which is kind of disappointing, especially since we’ve seen a few leaks or reports stating that it’s a 1080p display.

As expected, LG and Google has to cut corners to keep this device in the $300-400 price range that the Nexus 4 was in. Since it’s already slated to sport a Snapdragon 800 processor, they’ll have to cut corners somewhere else since the Snapdragon 800 is a pretty expensive processor.

As far as when this will be announced? We haven’t heard anything since the initial rumor of October 14th. So we’re still keeping our eyes on that date. What’s interesting is that is a Monday, and last year the Nexus 4 and Android 4.2 was supposed to be announced on a Monday (of course Hurricane Sandy had other plans). So it could very well happen. But remember that is an unconfirmed rumor, and thus we’ll treat as that.

So this looks like it is the Nexus 5. Is it as pretty as you thought it would be? I still think the Nexus 4 looks better and prettier. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
