Nvidia's Tegra Note Tablet Leaks Out Again; Shows Off Stylus and Flip Cover

While IFA 2013 is in swing with Sony announcing the new Xperia Z1 and the QX camera lenses, that won’t stop the leaks coming though, will it? A little while ago, a Tegra Tablet leaked out and now we’re getting a closer look at it. In the above photo, that’s not exactly the clearest, the Tegra Note logo is visible on the back of the device. As Engadget is reporting, there’s also a micro-HDMI port and a microSD card slot. Nvidia has been struggling to get their Tegra 4 out there into the wilds and manufacturing their own tablet might be the best way to get those Tegra 4 chips out there.

There’s a stylus and a flip cover outed by the photos from ChinaDIY and the front of the device shows stereo speakers, too. The cover for the device looks quite chunky and almost part of the tablet. The bezels are quite thick as well which leads us to believe that this is more of an internal device or even a reference design for Nvidia to send out to potential partners.

The tablet in question does carry the same sort of design as Nvidia’s SHIELD gaming device. As with their portable gaming console, the Tegra Note may well be something of a niche product. However, right now there’s very little known about what the device is going to shipping as far as software is concerned. Again, like the SHIELD, it would probably be a stock build of Android with only a few Nvidia apps.

A closer look at the stylus reveals a bulky look and feel to the tablet which isn’t something that would sell pretty well at the consumer level. With the Tegra 4 and a Full HD Display it should be a capable device no matter what. Hopefully, this could be the start of Nvidia getting back into the Android tablet game.
