The HTC One has been a huge hit. So much so that HTC is continuing to build devices in the One line with the HTC One Mini and the upcoming HTC One Max. Today we’ve spotted a something else that might be coming in the One line. This time it’s a tablet that looks like the HTC One Max, but bigger.
This rumor needs to be taken with the obligatory large grain of salt. With that being said, it does make sense for HTC to continue to build out the wildly popular One series. This new HTC One tablet is different from the HTC One Max in the size of the corners, above and below the screen. The corners are just a little more squared off on the tablet. At first glance, the tablet looks like a stretched out HTC One Max, like someone doctored the photo. But the paper on the table behind the device does not appear to be warped or twisted out of shape, so this tablet could be real. The screen size is difficult to judge because the screen is off. Even if the display is not edge-to-edge, we should be looking at a display or 8-10 inches. Here’s the alleged HTC One tablet on the left, with the HTC One Max on the right:

This wouldn’t be HTC’s first foray in to the world of tablets. The HTC Flyer was released in the spring of 2011, but never really took off. It was a 7-inch device with a single-core Snapdragon Scorpion processor and 1 GB of RAM. It had a 5 megapixel camera on the back. This was in the ill-fated time of Android Honeycomb, and the Flyer ran on Android 3.2 with Sense 3.0 on top of it. No one really like Sense back in those days, and no one paid attention to HTC’s first Android tablet. If this image is real and HTC really is working on an HTC One tablet of some sort, we certainly hope it gets more traction than the Flyer.
