Samsung Begins Testing Android 4.3 for the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4

The Galaxy Note 3 just launched today in a few countries, although it isn’t launching in the US for another week or so. But it’s launching with Android 4.3 on board. So the big question is when is the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 getting the update to Android 4.3? Well according to Sammobile and their internal sources, it looks like the company has just begun testing Android 4.3 on the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4.

So as far as when the update will roll out? Not sure. But Sammobile seems to think its coming in the end of November or in December. Which sounds plausible, unless you’re talking about the US versions, then I’d doubt it’ll be available then. For the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3, you can expect Android 4.3 to come with all the Touchwiz features that came on the Galaxy S4. I’m not sure if the Galaxy Note 2 will get the Galaxy Note 3 features just yet, as that would keep quite a few people from upgrading, if they can wait for this update.

As far as changes to the Galaxy S4, probably just all the new features in Android 4.3. Which are mostly under the hood changes. So you probably won’t notice much of anything different. I’m sure Samsung will fix some bugs in Touchwiz, but as far as Touchwiz goes I don’t think we’ll see much of a difference between 4.2 and 4.3.

Samsung has already said that they are working to bring the Android 4.3 update to us as fast as possible. So let’s hope that there are no more delays. We heard a few months ago that the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 were delayed with getting Android 4.2 due to the new version of Touchwiz. So we’ll keep our fingers crossed for a November/December launch and probably sometime in 2014 for the US variants.
