Featured: Top 10 Best MLB Android Apps

The 2013 baseball season is almost over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep up with our favorite teams through the Playoffs (by the way, GO TIGERS!!) and the off-season. Or play some baseball on our phones and tablets while we wait for the 2014 season. There are plenty of Baseball apps on the Play Store from games to wallpapers, to game companions, to even ballpark companions. We’ve scoured the Play Store and found the top 10 that we feel are the best. Of course, everyone is open to their own opinion. So if you think we’ve missed an app or two, feel free to let us know in the comments down below.

10. Yahoo! Sports

Nothing to special about the Yahoo! Sports app. It’s actually a rather generic sports app that gives you scores, news, rosters, standings and more for the MLB. As well as other sports like the NFL, College Football, College Basketball and much more.

9. Flick Home Run!

Want to play some baseball on your Android phone or tablet? Well this one’s also available on iOS. The reason why it’s #9 is because the developer seems to think Google Play is the Apple App Store. Nonetheless, it’s still a great game. Just by flicking your finger, you can play baseball on your Android device. Seems pretty fun, right?

8. Baseball Wallpapers

Are you an avid baseball fan? Want some baseball wallpapers to go on your phone or tablet? Well then here’s a great app that gives you plenty of great wallpapers to sport on your phone or tablet. Many of these aren’t team or player specific wallpapers, but they are still great looking wallpapers.

7. 9 Innings 2013 Pro Baseball

Here’s another game that’s worth checking out. From the folks at Com2uS, they’ve created 9 Innings, which gets a new version every year. So of course we are talking about the 2013 edition today. In this version you can play as your favorite players. It includes real photos and stats of over 1,400 players across 30 different teams. Not to mention it’s completely free.

6. MLB.com at the Ballpark

Headed to the game? Then you may want to check out MLB.com At The Ballpark. It’s your ultimate companion when visiting the ballpark for the Tigers, or Giants, or Yankees game. You are able to check in, buy tickets, find your seats and so much more. Not to mention it’s holo!

5. CBS Sports

You’ve probably heard of CBS Sports before. Much like the Yahoo! Sports app, it shows you all kinds of scores, standings, news, stats, rosters and more from all your favorite sports. Including Major League Baseball. It’s also rather Holo, which makes it look really nice on Android devices running Android 4.0 and above.

4. MLB: Full Deck

Full Deck is kind of like a Fantasy Baseball game. You can play MLB teams, build your own team and then play against your friends. There are over 650 players to choose from. You can also play season mode against the 30 MLB teams.

3. MLB.com Home Run Derby

Want to be a part of the Home Run Derby? Well now you can. This game is made and developed by the MLB. There are two different modes, Arcade and Derby. Arcade allows you to hit as many home runs as you can before time runs out. While Derby allows you to play an authentic home run derby tournament, to see if you can stack up to the greats like Miguel Cabrera.

2. Baseball Superstars 2013

Gamevil has made some pretty great games over the years. Now they have Baseball Superstars 2013. Which I played one of their earlier versions a few years ago and it was actually quite good, especially for a free game. It does support full HD, so if you have a 1080p device like the new Nexus 7, you’re going to love this game. You can compete with your friends, there’s touch intuitive my batter and my pitcher modes and much more.

1. MLB.com At Bat

MLB.com At Bat is my go-to app when I want to see how the Tigers or any other team is doing. Thanks to T-Mobile’s partnership with the MLB this year, you can watch many games on the app for free. As well as getting stats, scores, standings, news and much more. It’s also a holo-designed app, so it looks really nice and even better on tablets.
