Google Kicking Off 38-City Global Ingress Tour In LA and San Jose on Oct 12th

Ingress has been a pretty popular game the entire time it’s been around. Of course leaving it in closed-beta probably helped keep the buzz for the game. Ingress is a fun multi-player geolocation game. I still personally think this is Google’s way to get a ton of Street view and map information, basically for free.

Tomorrow, Google is kicking off their next series of global player events for Ingress. The tour will last about two months, and is starting tomorrow in Los Angeles and San Jose, CA at 1pm PST. This tour is dubbed Operation #13 Magnus. There will be 13 primary cities and secondary events in 25 others. This operation will gather thousands of gamers from around the world in live Ingress play sessions with Niantic Labs. This operation will gather thousands of players in each city and have them adventure on foot to compete and capture portals of real-world landmarks and city sites. It’s actually going to be a lot of fun. For those interested we have the complete schedule down below for you:
