When will HTC actually make the One Max official? It seems like we know all the details about this device already. But today, Nowehereelse.fr editor Steve Hemmerstoffer posted a picture on his Twitter account that shows off the full specs of the HTC One Max. Which is said to be their first phablet to compete with the Galaxy Note 3, and the LG Optimus G Pro not to mention the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. Some of the specs here include:
- Qualcomm APQ8064 1.7GHz quad-core processor
- Android 4.3 with Sense 5.5
- 16/32/64GB internal storage choices
- MicroSD card that supports up to 32GB
- Dimensions of 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6mm
- Weight: 130g
- 5.9-inch Full HD resolution display; 16M-color LCD capacitive touch screen with Multi-Touch capability
- Beats Audio
- Bluetooth Low Energy
- NFC
- WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n
- HDMI
- MHL
- MicroSIM card slot
Some of these specs are actually quite surprising. Like the MicroSD card slot on the One Max. We’ve seen many of their previous devices without a microSD card slot. Even though there is a 64GB version of the One Max, it is still nice to have a microSD card slot even if it’s not needed. I haven’t used a microSD card on my phone in a few years now.
The HTC One Max is supposed to look like the HTC One, hence the name. With a 5.9-inch display and the Boomsound speakers on the front, that’s going to make it a pretty big device. Especially when you add on the capacitive buttons and logos on the front. We’ve already seen the Verizon One Max with a Verizon logo on the front. Hopefully the HTC One Max does come to other carriers and isn’t just a Verizon exclusive. As HTC really needs to put out another phone. The HTC One was great and all, but you can’t rely on just one phone for an entire year, that’s why you’re losing money.
How many of you are excited for the HTC One Max? I know I’m definitely excited to see this device as I’ve loved the HTC One and the One Mini. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
