In addition to the Yoga 8 which Lenovo just announced, they’ve also announced the Yoga 10. The Yoga was a pretty popular Windows tablet/laptop hybrid of theirs. I’ve heard a lot of good things about them, though I’ve yet to check one out myself. Now they are expanding the Yoga brand to Android. The Yoga 10 is as you expected a 10-inch tablet with a built in stand. Before we get to far into it, lets check out the specs.

Similar to the Yoga 8, the Yoga 10 also comes with three modes, for their unique multimode design. You can convert the Yoga tablet into stand mode, tilt mode or hold mode. Which these are all pretty self explanatory I think. Lenovo is touting that the multimode design not only provides better usability, but it also provides much longer battery life. Up to about 18 hours in reading mode.
The Yoga 10 also comes with the option to buy a Bluetooth Keyboard Cover which is on sale for $69 beginning October 30th. Speaking of availability. the Yoga 10 will be available on October 30th, at most major retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Fry’s, Newegg and of course, Lenovo’s website. The Yoga 10 is going to set you back about $299. The Yoga 10 and 8 also come with a choice of a protective case which comes in a variety of colors and will set you back about $30.
Regarding the price, I know $299 sounds expensive for these specs, but thing about it like this. What other 10-inch tablets are out there that are under $500? Most of them are $500 or more. The Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition is $550 and the iPad is $500. Not to mention the Transformer Pad TF701T will probably be around $500-600. So in my opinion, I think Lenovo hit the right price point with the Yoga 10. I should have a review unit of both the Yoga 8 and 10 very shortly and then I’ll be able to share more thoughts with you.
